Picatrix: an ancient manuscript that teaches how to get the energy of the universe
The original Spanish translation has been lost forever, but the Latin translation known as Liber Picatrix has spread with great success in the fifteenth century.
Picatrix summarizes some magical and astrological practices of antiquity, principally practicing talismans of power. In general, Picatrix is one of the fundamental works of the esoteric Scala in the Renaissance, based on the ancient code.
The Picatrix is divided into four books that dispense magical knowledge, assuming that the initiator of the mysteries of magic knows the main fundamentals in this case, Hellenistic, that is to say, based on Greek myths.
Apparently, the author of the Picatrix was the math and Andalusian mathematician Maslama ibn Ahmad al-polygraph Majriti, who based his research on the work of Persian alchemist Al-Jildaki. Others argue that it was astronomer cebebrado Abu l-Qasim Maslama, who specializes in the art of magical talismans.
One of the most interesting features of the manuscript and one of the first medieval manuscripts to bet on an experimental research method.
